Colouring is a Fun Activity!

Free Colouring Pages for Kids: A Fun Bonding Activity

Coloring is an all-time favorite activity I love to do with my grandchildren. It helps them develop their motor skills and build confidence. Inside the lines, outside the lines – it’s all part of the process of creatively exploring!

There’s a supply of colouring sheets, colouring books, crayons, stickers, and markers waiting for them when they come for a visit

We play a game when we colour together. Octavia sets the rules. She selects the colouring pages and chooses three colours per person. She knows my favourite colour is purple, so she always includes it in my three shades. The one to finish colouring the page first wins stickers! Of course, she colours faster than me and has won a ton of stickers.

Have fun colouring while bonding with your little ones! I have included colouring pages that reflect the Octavia Can Do It! illustrations.

Below is a quote from one of our favourite books, The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt.

“I love that I am your favorite color for grapes, dragons and wizards’ hats, but it makes me crazy that most of my gorgeous color goes out of the lines. If YOU DON’T start coloring inside the lines soon, I am going to COMPLETELY LOSE IT! Your very neat friend Purple Crayon
