Meet the Illustrator

Amariah brought the Octavia Can Do It! story to life by capturing the characters’ personalities through her beautiful and whimsical watercolour illustrations.

Amariah Rauscher

Amariah is a full-time illustrator. She believes that there is an illustrator inside of every person. She is a mother of two girls and understands how amazing it is when young readers are excited about picture books.

 She is the illustrator of the Princess Truly books published by Scholastic. In addition, her book Sunday Rain was chosen by the New York Times in their list of Books to Read in 2021.

Amariah reads books and starts new projects around her home when she isn’t drawing or painting. She has a Master’s degree in Communication and lives with her family in Mandeville, Louisiana.
