Reading with kids is awesome for helping them develop their reading skills! Plus, it’s a chance to hang out with them. If you want to encourage them to read more, surround your place with books or take them to the library so they can pick out what they want. Oh, and don’t forget to show them that you like reading too!

Personally, I’ve got a spot on my bookshelf just for my grandkids’ books! It’s always growing with cool stories by authors like Robert Munsch, Margaret Wise Brown, Kelly Greenawalt, Eric Carle, and even my own books, Octavia Can Do It! and Octavia and Ludovic Welcome Baby Brother.

Reading to my grandkids is one of my favourite things to do. When I’m reading to Octavia and Ludovic, I ask them questions about the story to keep them interested. Sometimes they surprise me with their answers, but it’s always a blast. Plus, it’s a great way to connect with them!
