Octavia Can Do It! Series

Welcome to my space, where I will be sharing my author’s journey, new children’s books, children’s book reviews, author interviews, and snippets of the ongoing adventures of Octavia and Ludovic.

However, before we dive into all that, I would like to take a moment to share with you the inspiring journey behind the story of the Octavia Can Do It! series.

My Inspiration

My grandchildren, Octavia and Ludovic, call me Nonna (Grandmother). They are the reason I wrote my first children’s book, Octavia Can Do It!.

The inspiration for the story came from their love of helping their mother bake in the kitchen. As their mother teaches them how to measure ingredients and stir the batter, the fun begins, and chaos ensues!

My Why

I was reading all these awesome stories to my grandchildren and I thought to myself, “Why not write my own?” That’s how I came up with Octavia Can Do It! I wanted my grandchildren, Octavia and Ludovic, to feel like the characters were just like them and to learn that they could do anything they set their minds to, but it’s always okay to ask for some help too.

Welcome Baby Brother

I

In 2022, my third grandchild, Nathanaël, was born and I was beyond excited!

Holding him in my arms made me feel like I wanted to do something special to mark this special occasion. And then it hit me – I’m going to write a book! That’s how “Octavia and Ludovic Welcome Baby Brother” was born. It’s the second book in the Octavia Can Do It! series, stories about my grandchildren that I want to leave as a legacy for them.

I wrote every word with joy in my heart making sure to capture this special time in our family. Writing this book made my love for Nathanaël and my other grandchildren even stronger and I know that these books will be treasured for years to come.
